Hello
You've done your research and have decided that a Shiloh Shepherd is the best fit for your family -- congratulations! Please make sure to read the following information and fill out the questionnaire below.
Application Process
Our application is available online through this link as well as downloadable here - this process will include secondary interviews and screening. The more information we have, the better our ability to determine whether a Shiloh Shepherd from our program would be a good fit for your family. The questionnaire is lengthy, but please do your best to answer thoroughly and transparently.

-
Puppies are matched to homes at approximately 8 weeks, after being temperament tested by a third party.
-
Matches are made based on the temperament and background of the puppy, and the goals/needs of the applicant.
-
Matches are not made on a first-come, first-served basis.
-
Visits are welcome for approved applicants. Video calls are also available for applicants who are not local.
-
Puppies from my program are priced between $3200 and $3500, PST included. This price may vary based off of pairing, additional training, age of dog, etc.
-
All puppies will be contractually required to complete specific health testing by certain ages, including but not limited to a 24-72hr holter between 5.5 and 9 months of age, and hip and elbow x-rays evaluated by OFA and/or Pennhip between 18 and 30 months of age. This information allows myself and other ISSA breeders to make fully informed breeding decisions and continue to better the health of the breed.
-
Puppies sold by Pacific Wild cannot be neutered or spayed before 2 years of age unless approved by Pacific Wild and due to medical necessity. Pacific Wild reserves the right to collect and freeze semen from any dog prior to being neutered, at Pacific Wild's expense.
-
Ideally, puppies will be picked up in person from our residence in Victoria, B.C. The nearest airport is Victoria International Airport, roughly 30 minutes by car. Ferry access to Vancouver Island includes BC Ferries Swartz Bay Terminal and Blackball Ferries between downtown Victoria and Port Angeles, WA. Please plan for a good amount of time for pickup.
-
If applicants are unable to pick their puppy up in person, puppies may be flown based on the availability of a flight nanny and/or pet in cargo restrictions. At 8 weeks of age, Shiloh puppies are typically too large to meet the fly-in-cabin pet requirements and must be flown cargo. Travel expenses are the responsibility of the applicant and dates/times must be approved by Pacific Wild.
-
Wait times can vary and I am in the process of streamlining my application review process. If there is a litter or pairing you are interested in, please feel free to reach out regarding the progress of your application.

Our breeding program is geared around active companion dogs, and as such cannot guarantee any puppy produced from our program to succeed as a service dog or therapy dog. We are happy to work with individuals who are seeking a dog for service or therapy work, however, the expectation is that the applicant is seeking a companion first and a service or therapy dog second.

We do not currently export pets outside of Canada and the continental US. Exceptions will be made for fellow licensed ISSA breeders or breeders in training to support their breeding programs. Purchase of breeding rights are only available for licensed ISSA breeders or breeders in training under mentorship of Pacific Wild Kennels or another ISSA breeder.

As of August 1, 2024, the US CDC has introduced new importation regulations to limit the import of dogs into the United States. Due to this, Pacific Wild Kennels and other Canadian breeders will not be able to export dogs under 6 months of age to the United States. At this time and until changes are made to these new regulations, Canadian born litters will have limited availability for US applicants and priority will be given to US based breeders, breeders-in-training, and breeding co-owners. Likewise, US born litters will have limited availability for Canadian applicants and priority will be for breeding homes.
