Shiloh Shepherds
Shiloh Shepherds are a large, family oriented breed that often retain the desire and capabilities of their forebears. Its not uncommon to see Shilohs fill the role of therapy or service dogs, work with Search and Rescue, or work as homestead guardians. Their intelligence, biddability, and desire to engage with their owners make them fantastic hiking companions and performance dogs despite their size.
A Shiloh should be physically discernible from other shepherd type dogs - females should be 26" or taller, and males should be 28" or taller. Their frames should be square where they are only slightly longer than they are tall, with heavy bone and a wide, masculine muzzle and head. Their ears should be triangular and ideally no taller than they are wide at the base, and high set.
Shilohs have two lengths of double coat - long haired and short haired - and accepted colours are shades of brown, grey, black, and gold in sable or dual patterns, or solid white/buff or solid black.
